Rose water was considered exotic during our childhood, though it's just rose flavored water. It is used in some of the Indian desserts and drinks. Lassi is one such. My spouse can drink a glass of lassi pretty much anytime of the day. During our visit to India this year, my older sister made rose lassi which was out of the world. Not only was the taste amazing and refreshing, but the presentation was classy with chopped nuts. It's quick to prepare and ingredients are usually available round the year at home.
Ingredients
6 tbsp sour cream
4 tbsp rose water
1/4 cup chopped nuts (pista, almonds)
Saffron for garnish
Directions
1. Blend the sour cream with rose water in the blender for few seconds. If you prefer a thick lassi, use less rose water.
2. Pour into a glass and garnish with chopped nuts and saffron
